MMX is able to design and implement solutions using VHF and UHF products designed to meet demanding international standards, a comprehensive range of radio modem products ideal for use in point-to-point data links or in point-to-multipoint applications such as scanning telemetry networks and SCADA systems.

XRT Base-station Radio

The XRT9000 base-station radios are high specification products which have both analogue and digital interfaces to allow them to be used at hilltop scanner sites in both new and legacy scanning telemetry and SCADA systems. The radios can accept RS232 data inputs directly, but have auxiliary 600 ohm audio interfaces to allow use with an external modem if required. While using the internal modem, the over-air data rate can be set to a range of values between 150 baud and 9,600 baud in a 12.5kHz channel. If high speeds are not required, the modem can be set to a slower over-air rate to take advantage of the associated improvement in the receiver threshold.

ART Radio Modem Series

The ART is a DIN rail mountable, ultra low current consumption data radio modem for use in stand-alone radio telemetry applications or as a remote radio in scanning telemetry radio systems or SCADA networks.

The ART radio modem has an RS232 serial interface whose speed can be set independently of the chosen over-air data rate. The over-air data rate can be set to a range of values between 150bps and 9600bps in a 12.5kHz channel and there is an internal buffer to cope with situations where the interface data rate is higher than the over-air rate. If high speeds are not required, the modem can be set to a slower over-air rate to take advantage of the associated improvement in receiver threshold.
