The TM-Series is a family of packet-optical transport products. This carrier-class platform provides the transport of any service between 10Mb/s and 100Gb/s in metro and metro core networks. Services include Ethernet, MPLS-TP, OTN and SDH/SONET. Combining cost efficient increase of capacity with selective Ethernet functionality, it offers the optimal way of capitalizing on today’s and tomorrow’s demanding services.

With multi-dimensional scalability, the TM-Series’ products allow the packet-optical network to grow smoothly, both in capacity, size and functionality. Its modular design provides a valuable pay-as-you-grow approach. Integrated Ethernet capabilities in our Native Packet Optical architecture enables the TM-Series platform to offer advanced Layer 2/Layer 3 functionality reducing the need for expensive and complex equipment.

The TG-Series is a family of cost-effective, passive optical WDM products. Designed for access applications, the TG-Series provides one of the most compact WDM access solutions on the market. The TG-Series fits in a wide range of applications, from controlled environments in central offices to street cabinets or even underground enclosures such as  manhole applications that require environmentally hardened products.

The TG-Series supports point-to-point, mesh, bus and ring-based network topologies and can be used in a number of network scenarios such as Fiber To The Curb (FTTC), Fiber To The Building (FTTB) and high-security access networks. The optical modules come in a variety of form factors, including rack-mounted modules for central offices and street cabinets. Modules ideal for use in harsh environments like manholes are also offered.

The TG-Series is fully compatible and interoperable with the TM-Series and the TS-Series as well as the Transmode Network Manager (TNM). This gives network operators a simple upgrade path to fully active WDM solutions. Combined with parts from the TM-Series, it forms Transmode’s iWDM-PON solution.

Enlighten’s full lifecycle approach provides operators with a set of tools for planning, deploying and operating the transport network in a cost effective and simple manner.

To cater for the growing need for capacity and more sophisticated transport services, packet-optical based networks are increasingly becoming the transport network of choice. Enlighten ads to the benefits of packet-optical networks by introducing features designed for management of such networks.
