We’ve successfully migrated from OHSAS180001 to ISO 45001:2018
We’re pleased to share that our team here at MMX has been awarded the ISO 45001:2018 certification for our Health and Safety efforts. The rigorous new standard is the first international certification for Occupational Health and Safety, and it has been developed to consider today’s business requirements. We’re extremely proud of this achievement especially as we are one of the select few companies in the telecommunications industry to have this award.
The certification replaces OHSAS 18001, which we have maintained for a number of years. This is alongside our other ISO certifications relating to Quality (ISO 9001), Environmental Management (ISO:14001) and Information Security (ISO 27001). What makes ISO 45001:2018 different to its predecessor is the strong emphasis on leadership, risk-based thinking and participation and consultation of all levels of the business, especially workers. This means that we can support you safely every step of the way on projects.
By successfully migrating to the new ISO standard, we have proudly achieved a key business objective. ISO 45001:2018 demonstrates our commitment to quality and shows that our management system covers what is needed for creating and sustaining a safe and healthy working environment. The fact that we are one of the first in our field to achieve the standard underlines that our commitment to health and safety is a top priority in all our actions. We promise and deliver the health and wellbeing of everybody onsite and visiting is our main priority, with effective communication with all involved.
