Huawei CX600

The Huawei CX600 is an IP based device for ethernet transport and routing and can be sent to our repair centre for test screen and repair. It is commonly used for backhaul in the 3G and 4G mobile network although it can also be used in the Metro Area Network for transmission, access and convergence. It is both a layer 2 ( switching) and a layer 3 (routing) device and is capable of more advanced features features such as MPLS ( multi-protocol label switching ). The Huawei CX600 reference system is used to test customer’s cards in order to determine specific faults. The model shown is the CX600-X3 which is the compact variant. Larger versions also exist such as the X8 and X16. The system is also used to confirm a satisfactory repair post intervention. This includes a traffic test to ensure that Ethernet traffic is able to flow correctly. Repair can be a very cost effective option for the mobile operator where the asset might otherwise have to be replaced with a new one. Defective cards such as PSU, MPU and FIC once repaired can be returned to the operator’s good stock to support the network.
