Marconi SMA

Synchronous Transport Mode is used in telecommunications networks throughout Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and Middle East. The optical interface allows transmission of lower rate such as PDH signals at synchronous rate with flexibility of allowing multiple vendors’ equipment to be compatible in the same span.

The TXO repair centre has various Marconi SMA setups for SMA Series 1.1D, SMA series 3 and STM 16. These are ADMs ( Add / Drop Multiplexer) using SDH. The ADM is the fundamental part of the SDH network. It is used to add and drop tributaries without demultiplexing the entire SDH signal. They are extracted/inserted by means of software control.

Our in-house capability to screen and repair for range of power supply units, system memory cards, Mux controllers cards, switch cards, link cards, router cards, tributary cards, and optical interface cards for STM-1, STM-4 and STM-16 systems as listed below. Repair can be an attractive and cost-effective option for telecom operators using such legacy systems where spare parts are no longer available.
