NEC Pasolink and Pasolink NEO iP are microwave radio systems for point to point and also for backhaul in the mobile network. It is used extensively here in the 2G and 3G network to connect the mobile base station (BTS) to the base station controller ( BSC) or radio network controller ( RNC) in the case of 3G. The NEO iP system is Ethernet based and has MPLS features.
NEC Pasolink Microwave Radio reference system in the TXO repair centre
The reference system is used to determine faults with the equipment that can occur over time such as water ingress within ODU and lightening strike. Such defects are repaired and then the system is properly tested to ensure that the system is functioning as expected.
